Abstraction & Landscape Painting:
Finding a Personal Style.

The course will introduce various ways to approach painting using landscape as a subject matter.
Andrew will work with each individual to help develop a more personal style of representation. Tuition will cover both the traditional landscape techniques and also suggest ways of approaching landscape using abstract painting techniques.
Topics include: finding suitable motifs, composition, conventions of perspective, use of colour and paint application.
Andrew will also be working on his own paintings, this will give the opportunity to see some of the subjects discussed put into practice.

Andrew is Head of Art, Royal Grammar School, Guildford.

Andrew has exhibited  with The New English Art Club, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters (winner of the 2002 Windsor and Newton Award, The Royal West of England Academy Bristol and at various galleries in the U.K.
