Victoria Gamberoni BA, BSA, AFAS

September 2 - 10

Each morning Tor will discuss and advise on the planning of work for the day, she will assist with the process of bringing paintings to fruition and help with any technical difficulties. At the end of each day there is a discussion and talk. Tor is a very popular tutor - her wisdom, gentle guidance on the construction, content and balance of paintings is invaluable.

Victoria Gamberoni lives and paints in the West Country. She is a member of the Bath Society of Artists and the Armed Forces Art Society and her work is regularly shown at their annual exhibitions. She teaches painting in water colour and oils has run painting courses in England, France and Italy.

She has exhibited at galleries throughout the United Kingdom as well as having one person exhibitions in London, Wiltshire and Bath. Her paintings have been exhibited at The Royal West of England Academy, Victoria Gallery Bath, Merriscourt Gallery, Wykeham Gallery, Out of the Blue, the Wine Street Gallery, Six Chapel Row, and the Mall Gallery. She has won numerous awards including, in 2007, the Brownsword Prize for the best picture at the Bath Society of Artists annual exhibition at the Victoria Gallery, Bath. In 2009, she was presented with an award by The Prince of Wales for one of her pictures in the AFAS exhibition at the Mall Gallery, London.

In recent years Victoria has made painting trips to the United States, Mexico, India, and North Africa and, annually, to Europe. Her recent work focuses on people in the workplace and within the city; her figurative work has moved towards semi abstraction while retaining the traditional English strengths of line and composition. Examples of her work can be seen on the Bath Society of Artists website.
